There's a couple of areas which are more tense than the rest of the game but compared to Bioshock 1 it's a breeze. I think the biggest thing that makes Bioshock 2 less scary is the fact that you're playing as a badass fucking big daddy! Believe me, it's worth it to get through the scary parts.
