WebDec 8, 2015 · Wivenhoe is a great place for a family day out BBQ on a nice day. There is a café there if you don't want to cook but the free BBQ's are good, yet get in early. The parking areas are great and varied. The Dam itself is pretty impressive and lovely to see so full after all those drought years.
