Add the black food coloring until it's kind of a funky grey and then just wrap it and let it rest for a couple of hours and it will darken up. In fact, a few hours ago, I combined the last little bit left from my Duff's red with some of my new Fondarific I recently picked up at a cake supply store. The ingredients list on both is the same.
